Why I moved to Jupiter Florida

Many times when I first meet a new customer they ask why I moved to Jupiter Florida and not some other part of Florida. When I first came to Florida I lived in a little town just East of Boca Raton called Highland Beach. It’s  a small strip of mostly condos sitting between the Intracoastal and the ocean. This was back in 1979 and the population was not near what is was today. In fact if you lived West of I-95 you were in the country. Growing up in Boca Raton I bought my first home in Deerfield Beach before looking at Boca Raton real estate and eventually moving behind Mizner Park back when it was the Boca Mall.

It was a great place to live with many friends and we had some great times visiting the Fort Lauderdale strip during Spring Break in it’s day. Each year I watched as Boca grew and around 1985 we saw many different businesses moving to Jupiter to open up. Of course we had  a real estate crash a few years later and Jupiter just never took off. Many different Jupiter beach communities near the beach were built in the mid 80’s including the Bluffs, Ocean Walk and Xanadu by the Sea.

Almost 20 years later after living in Boca and watching the congestion I decided to head out in search of a new home. After visiting many different areas I stopped in Jupiter and decided this was the place. Still close enough to Boca and yet much quieter I saw Jupiter real estate in it’s infancy. Abacoa was just being developed and it was still a sleepy town.

Why I moved to Jupiter Florida

We had a wonderful dog friendly beach just across the street from my home. A nearly private beach as well with limited parking and we just started to see new places open here in Jupiter. Everything was minutes away with great beaches, beautiful water and a tranquil little town. Since then it has grown dramatically and Jupiter now has many attractions to bring in the droves of people looking for an upscale community. We now have Harbourside Place, The Jupiter Riverwalk with restaurants and shops. Boating is more popular than ever and come check out the Intracoastal off Jupiter Island. The bluest water you will find. It was an excellent choice and I don’t regret it. Where can you drive down US 1 and see preserves and green space instead of car dealers and malls. Everyone has seem to found Jupiter with top rated schools , great amenities and a quality of life that is tough to beat. No longer is it an inexpensive place to buy a home as I have seen real estate triple in value since I moved here. Come see the best place to live Jupiter Florida. This is why I moved to Jupiter Florida and now I enjoy selling real estate here as well. Call Jim at Blue Ocean Realty for local knowledge and expert service when starting to shop for Jupiter homes.
