Our Jupiter real estate market continues to show promising strength but we may be seeing a slow down in both sales and new listings. Our continuing rise of interest rates will put some pressure on all buyers as well as the economic reports including the stability of the stock market may give consumer confidence a more cautious feeling.  The good news is the high demand for Jupiter Fl properties is still there but price reductions may be more often and larger. We already have seen huge price reductions in properties that have not sold. It should be an interesting winter season.

I’ve been tracking properties in surrounding communities such as Singer Island, Tequesta and Palm Beach Gardens and the entry level markets still show good strength as the middle inventory seems to be having a more difficult time attracting buyers. Even higher end Jupiter luxury properties are seeing some buyer resistance. I think we are seeing more buyers walk through a property before it sells in many cases.

Jupiter sellers you really need to watch your local surrounding communities to see how many listings are for sale, what is selling and what they finally sell for. Many sellers are still overpricing their properties but nationwide I’m seeing properties sitting longer and selling for less than expected. Your first offer is your best offer is not just a cliche. It has some real truth to it especially during a time with limited inventory. These buyers are watching the market and know what’s for sale and what has sold. They are educated buyers and have a wealth of information to substantiate their offers. Many have been waiting on the sidelines and are strong buyers who want to buy but as the market rises they become worried about a pullback in real estate.
